Boris Plotnikov
Boris Plotnikov is a virtuoso Russian harmonica performer.
He's a winner of the international jazz competition "Master-Jam Fest 2013" and the international harmonica performers competition "World Harmonica Festival 2013" in the categories "jazz" and "blues".
For the general Russian public Boris is known as a member of the music bands of Eugene Margulis and Mikhail Bashakov.
He also collaborates with Alexey Romanov and "Voskresenie" band, Sergey Chigrakov, Sergey Galanin and many others.
As a session musician and band member, he recorded for several dozen albums, and also released a duet album with Mikhail Bashakov "Ask Yourself", which included songs by Mikhail Bashakov, specially arranged for the guitar and harmonica.
As a solo artist, Boris regularly performs in jazz clubs, and he played great solo concerts in philharmonies.
Today, Boris Plotnikov is developing a solo project in which he combines his interest in various musical styles: jazz, hip-hop, Russian and live electronic music, interacts with the most powerful instrumentalists in Moscow.
A concert album of a solo project is released in 2019.
In 2024 Boris Plotnikov band released first studio album “Samovar”.
