JDR Infinity : 4 different thicknesses ofreed plates make maintenance a challenge?

Since the launch of the JDR Infinity Chromatic Harmonica, its unique four-section reed plate design has attracted many harmonica enthusiasts.

However, it has also raised some concerns: with so many reed plates and a large number of screws, how should one go about maintenance?

JDR Infinity Chromatic Harmonica features a copper-chrome cover, 4-thickness Infinity reedplates, No.45 reeds, and smooth blow-draw for rich, loud tones.

Actually, it's quite simple. For example, if I feel the blowing response of a note is off and need to take it apart to check, do I have to remove all the reed plates?    NO

Preparation: Prepare a suitable screwdriver, find a clean and stable work area, and avoid losing or damaging the reed plates and screws.

You only need to remove one reed plate by unscrewing four screws.

Next, check and tune the instrument.

The reed plates of the JDR Infinity harmonica have different markings. Please pay special attention: the side of the reed plate with the serial number should face outward, and you need to distinguish this correctly during installation.

Place the comb flat on the workbench, align one of the reed plates with the screw holes on the comb, and ensure the holes on the reed plate are perfectly aligned with those on the comb. Then screw the screws into the holes, but do not tighten them too much. Next, install the other reed plate using the same method.

After confirming that the reed plates are installed correctly and evenly, use a screwdriver to tighten all the screws one by one. Finally, install the cover.

Maintaining the JDR Infinity Chromatic Harmonica is just that simple!
